School reunions to be held in Presho this weekend

Presho Alumni to meet

 The 96th annual meeting of the Presho High School Alumni Association will take place Saturday, July 27, at the Catholic hall in Presho. The organization has an amazing history, and we aren’t done yet! Honored classes this year are the 4’s and the 9’s. The doors will open at 5:30, with the meal being served at 6:00. The Catholic ladies will be in charge, but guests are asked to bring a dessert or a salad. A short business meeting will follow, and then all will be treated to the fine music from “back in the day” provided by Beth Mertens and Donna Kinsley. Other weekend activities will be the open house at the Lyman County Museum on Friday, beginning at 4:00 with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and also on Saturday morning from 8:00 until 1:00. On Saturday night, the annual Presho Fire Department’s street dance will be held at the Firehall. Event starts at 9:00 p.m. and Clayton Moore will be preparing and serving the food for the entire evening. On Sunday morning, from 9:00 until noon, PHS alumni folks are invited to gather once again for a pay-as-you-go breakfast/brunch in the east room of Hutches. 
Lyman High School Alumni to hold reunion 
The 13th annual Lyman Alumni Reunion will be held Sat., July 27 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Presho Fire Hall Registration opens at 6:00 pm, followed by a social hour then a meal of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, and chips. The association will supply all the food and utensils and a free will offering will be taken. A cash bar will be operated by members of the Presho Fire Department and sell bottled water, soda, beer and other beverages will be sold. The 4th annual Lyman Alumni 9-Hole Best Ball Golf Tournament starts Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the Medicine Creek Golf Course. At least one member of the 4-member team must be a Lyman alum, $25 per person. Proceeds from the tournament will fund the Lyman Scholarship fund. Prizes will be awarded. All Lyman graduates starting with the East and West Lyman graduates of 1971 are welcome and encouraged to attend. Feel free to bring a spouse or friend. A short business meeting of the association will be held. Lyman Alumni will recognize honor classes ending in “4” and “9”. The Lyman County Herald will take photos of the honor classes as they are introduced at the reunion, or classes who meet individually on Friday night may submit class photos with names to news© The Presho Fire Department will host a street dance with live music at the fire hall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
