Sprenger re-elected as Presho Mayor 
    The Presho City Council held a special meeting Thurs., April 13 to canvass the votes from the April 11 city election. The council approved the vote tallies as follows: Mayor- Mike Sprenger was declared the winner with 125 votes, while challenger Anthony Urban received 64. 
   Councilman Ward III-Challenger Carl Brakke defeated the incumbent Lance Mortenson by just one vote, 37 to 36. 
   There was no election for Ward I currently represented by Roy England, or Ward II, a position held by Colby Brakke. 
   Voter turn out was good in Presho with 192 out of 379 registered voters visiting the election booth for a 51 percent voter turn out. 
   Last year, only 105 voters cast ballots in Presho’s city election, while 193 visited the polls in the last mayoral election in 2015. 
   In Reliance, 61 out of 104 registered voters cast ballots in the town election for one Trustee. Incumbent Jeff Williamson received 39 votes to Derrick Schmitt’s 22 to retain his seat on the town board. 
   All newly elected municipal board members will be sworn into office at their May meetings.
