St. Patrick's Day Celebration Saturday in Presho

Posted by Kim
The Blarney Commission has finalized the plans for the 22nd annual St Patrick's Day Celebration to be held Saturday March 13th in Presho.

The Shamrock Shuffle will open the day's events with a 12:00 noon start time. Registration will begin at 10:00. All shufflers should report to LA Sports to register and collect their commemorative t-shirt. Rumor has it; there may be some pre-shuffle entertainment on Main Street provided by a piper from the East.

The parade will begin at approximately 2:00. All parade entries should line up on Willow Street (street running east & west by Cenex & Methodist Church) before 2:00. Pre-registration is NOT necessary. The Commission again expects some heated competition for the Pat Knozem Memorial Award. The winner receives their name on the memorial plaque and a $50 cash prize. Second place will receive a $25 cash prize.

Presho eateries are busy preparing the Irish delicacies of corned beef and cabbage in addition to mulligan stew.

Hutch's Lounge has engaged the band Cold Case to provide live music for the evening's entertainment. Be ready to dance an Irish jig and wear off the corned beef, mulligan stew and candy consumed throughout the day!

The Blarney Commission is expecting better that average weather, so get out your green and join in the celebration!

A word of thought from the Blarney Commission:

In life, there are only two things to worry about
Either you are well or you are sick.
If you are well, there is nothing to worry about,

But if you are sick, there are only two things to worry about
Either you will get well or you will die.
If you get well, there is nothing to worry about,

But if you die, there are only two things to worry about
Either you will go to heaven or hell.
If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about.

And if you go to hell, youll be so busy shaking hands with all your friends
You wont have time to worry!
