Presho Expo; New name, same great show

After nearly 30 years of hosting the Presho Area Chamber Farm & Home Show, the organization decided it was time for a change of name and focus. The annual event has been re-named the Presho Expo and is set for Saturday, February 29 at the Lyman Gardens in Presho. The show, featuring vendors, musical entertainment, concessions and cash drawings will run from 10 am to 3 p.m. The chamber will give away $350 in Chamber Bucks throughout the day with the biggest prize to be awarded at the conclusion of the event. All chamber cash winners must be present to win! Concessions by Leanne and Katie Zirpel and other family members will be available all day including, homemade Indian Tacos, hot dogs, pie, bars and the Zirpel family’s famous kuchen! The Plains Folk, a group of musicians from Pierre, will entertain the crowd with acoustic cowboy, western bluegrass, gospel and contemporary music starting at 11 a.m. and again at 1:45 p.m. The local gymnastics club coached by Ali Howard will also entertain the crowd with floor tumbling and more at 12:30 pm. Every hour starting at 11 a.m. $25 in Chamber Bucks will be given away to some lucky attendee. A grand prize of $250 in Chamber Bucks will be given away at the close of the show. What can you do with Presho Chamber Bucks? The promotional Chamber Bucks can be used like cash at any business in Presho that is a chamber member. Who couldn’t use $250 in Chamber Bucks to purchase gas, groceries, propane or pay their telephone/internet bill? We have some new vendors coming for the first time, and past exhibitors returning,” said Chamber Director Nicole Husman. Many area businesses will be exhibiting at the Presho Expo, include companies providing services such as insurance, agriculture, and more. Vendors will be selling merchandise from handmade crafts and clothing to jewelry, and other commercial home-based business products and more. Local Girl Scouts cookies will be available also. According to Husman, there is still vendor booth space available. There will be something for everyone at the show. Make plans now to spend the day touring vendor booths, listening to musical entertainment, and enjoying a delicious lunch. Admission is free and all are welcome. Contact Husman by calling 605-895-9445 to reserve booth space.
