Norwegian heritage to be celebrated in Vivian

Vivian will host the 19th annual Syttende Mai Celebration and Smorgasbord, a Norwegian Independence Day, on May 17. The event is sponsored by members of the Uffda Crew.
A parade down Main Street at 6:00 pm will kick off the festivities. Following the parade, an authentic Norwegian dinner of Lutefisk, Swedish meatballs, lefse, mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage, cream peas, fruit soup and desserts of Fattigman, Kransekake, Rosettes and Krumkake will be served at the Vivian Hall to those who purchased advance tickets.
This year’s program will include entertainment by the Moore family.
