Kennebec Fire Department receives donation

The First Iowa Division of NARCOA arranges railroad motorcar excursion of short lines throughout the United States and Canada.  An excursion was held over the weekend of July 28th and 29th on the Dakota Southern.  FID typically makes a donation to the railroad for the use of their track. The Dakota Southern offered instead to have the donation made to a charitable group in the towns served by the railroad.  Organizations in White Lake and Kennebec were selected to receive the donations this year. The Kennebec Volunteer Fire Department was selected as the recipient of the west river donation.
