Lyman School District to hold election June 18
A Lyman School Board election will be held June 18, 2019, in all the voting precincts in the Lyman District 42-1 to elect three candidates at large to fill a three-year term. Seven candidates, including the three incumbents, are seeking a term on the board. Candidates are Michael Ryan, Lower Brule; Adam Ehlers, Presho; Loren Shoop, Vivian; Jodi M. Smith, Vivian; Nathan Millard, Presho; Lindsey Oldenkamp, Kennebec; and Cody Volmer, Presho. See pages 6 and 7 of this issue for interviews with the candidates. The election polls will be open from seven a.m. to seven p.m. CDT on the day of the election at the following locations. The polling place in each precinct of this district is as follows: Reliance #6 – Reliance at the Reliance City Hall; Lower Brule #7 – Lower Brule at the Golden Buffalo Convention Center; Kennebec #9 – Kennebec at the Kennebec Fire Hall; Presho #11, #12 – Presho at the Presho Fire Hall; Vivian #13 – Vivian at the Community Fire Hall; Any voter who needs assistance, pursuant to the American with Disabilities Act, may contact the school Business Manager Renelle Uthe at 895-2579 before the election for information on polling place accessibility for people with disabilities. Election results will be post on the Lyman County Herald Facebook page and published in the June 26 issue of the Lyman County Herald.
